Synopsis

MARIE ANTOINETTE är baserad på Antonia Frasers biografiska bok med samma namn, som utforskar Marie Antoinettes dramatiska levnadsöde en livsresa som slutade i giljotinen.

Sofia Coppola har inte bara regisserat MARIE ANTOINETTE utan även skrivit manus och är en av filmens producenter. Hon har tidigare regisserat de lovordade filmerna "Virgin Suicides" och nu senast "Lost in Translation".

Kirsten Dunst, porträtterar den österrikiska prinsessan som blev Frankrikes drottning redan som tonåring. Dunst har tidigare arbetat med Sofia Coppola på ?Virgin Suicides?. Jason Schwartzman spelar hennes likgiltiga man kung Ludvig XVI.
